I felt bad that she'd had to put up with me mucking about with projects and it was high time she had her own classic.

Just so happened to find one in the colours she wanted, bought last October and presented on 30th Birthday in February.

It has since been sign-written "Teen Queen" by a good mate Kevin Massey from Rugeley

And so it begins.

Initially the car was going to be kept stock but after she drove it and, Ahem! said it didnt handle or stop anywhere near as good as her 206.

As money allows it will be upraded. Suspension and brakes first. Then a pre-crossflow 1500 if i can find one at the right price.

Had these delivered from a guy off called Boycey on 105 speed

Mk2 Cortina struts prepared to be sent off to Milton to be converted into coilovers.

They've got some quality items there at Milton and proven in all respects by the looks of things!!

I'll post up more as I do it.

Tried to buy one for my wife that was on e-bay last week but ended up a little rich in the end for me, it was her first car so she has a soft spot for one. She learned to drive in a 1963 MK1 Lotus Cortina :D

I had Lotus steels on an Anglia with, I think 185/60/13 on.
Didn't scrape, even with 2" lowering blocks on.

Way back when I started with 165/70 but quickly stepped up to a 175/70. They didn't make the 185's then. I ran Goodyear alloys I'm sure in a 51/2j. I tried 6j Revolutions but they wouldn't fit. To be honest the options with backspacing were more limited then as was knowledge.
