View Full Version : my new 55 step side truck

01-07-13, 06:51 PM
i took delivery of my first truck on thursday
i saw the truck on ebay and had some spare pennies so that was that really
it was advertised on ebay but after a haggle we agreed that the seller would arrange to put it in a container from california to felixtowe
and he would cover the duty all in for 3100

it took a long 8 weeks before i got the call to drive 150 miles to collect the truck

Nice one Darren, bet you're well pleased. What are your plans?

it turns out to be a 265 and not a 350 as i was told
(but the guy said he will send me the 350 on the next container)
can i still use a 600cfm carb on it as i cant really afford to buy another carb just for a few months

So it's a six and not an eight? That's a fairly large descriptive cock up on the sellers part.

My mistake didn't look at pics. Seen other thread too. I was thinking of a 216.

The 600 will work for now thoough not what would normally be chosen by many. Hope all goes well...
