SD1 Rover Race Car
Probably one of the last great RWD saloon cars produced by our country! (imo)

Extensively lightened shell with fibreglass bonnet, scoop, front wings, tailgate,Vitesse bumpers and Vitesse spoilers. Doors have been gutted and cut out of all surplus materiel glass has been replaced with perspex and front screen is lexion.
Center Line Auto Drag wheels 3.5 x 15 fronts 12 x 15 rears with 31x13 Mickey Thompson ET Drag Slicks with inner tubes and screwed to rims. The car has been back halved and tied into the original Rover chassis with an extensive multi point roll cage. The front end is all Rover, struts,brakes but with a manual steering rack and Mountney steering wheel. Wired with a fuse box with working head and tail lights only. Interior is race car style with a single Jaz seat and harness. Autometer Monster tach with oil light, oil gauge and capillary temp gauge.

Rear axle is a narrowed 12 bolt Chevy with new big 9 inch wheel bearings and a C clip Eliminator complete with a locker diff and 4.56 Richmond gears. (ex Dave Turley Assassinator Deuce Coupe) fully adjustable four bar links with central track locator and Spax adjustable coil overs.

Engine is a 360 small block Mopar stripped for rebuild. Block has been thoroughly cleaned and bores honed (standard size)
Block has been machined (decked) to raise compression (inlet manifold machine matched) Brand new steel crank with relieved oil ways, high volume/pressure oil pump, large stock Mopar steel con rods, stock pistons with valve relief cut outs machined out. All rotating bottom end has been lightened and balanced including adding metal to the flex plate to get in spec. Cloyes full double roller timing chain, big hydraulic 292 Competition cam with matching lifters,pushrods and triple valve springs and titanium retainers. Heads have been mildly ported and machined to stop coil bind and to take plastic valve stem seals. Comp Cams adjustable roller rockers with matching rocker shafts and billet hold down clamps. Hooker headers and 60,s style finned ally Offenhauser rocker covers. Torker 2 with open plenum chamber inlet manifold, Carb is a Holley 600 double pumper with a Holley red top pump and fuel regulator. Ignition is a Mopar Performance electronic distributor with chrome box, MSD rev limiter with a six grand chip.

Gearbox is a TorqueFlite 727 with a manual valve body and a 3500 stall speed converter and B+M Pro Stick Shifter, also a custom built propshalft...

Got a Nitrous plate to throw into the deal...

Paint it all satin black including the wheels and youve got your very own MURDER ROVER..!!!

Dont you just love time wasters..!!!!! Thought this was sold but ended up to be a messer..!!!!

Im not going to the swop meet but a friend of mine is and has kindly volunteered to take the parts with him if required
