    Actually that's a bit flippant. Technically a 34 would be a model 40 and in theory a B could be a 4cyl. though also called a C I think.

Okay. I was thinking that the B was produced from '32 to '34.

Technically speaking it would be. The B refers to the engine rather than body. (4 cylinder) In practice it gets really confusing and to most people a B would be a 32. A 32 with an 8 cylinder is an 18 rather than a B.
There are those here that could break it down better than I.

Sorry, I missed your comment at the top of this page. You had me under the impression that the 4cyl. was done away with in '33. I wouldn't know how tell a B from an 18 or a 40 just be looking, though, and I'll bet 99% of them have V8s regardless of whether they left the factory with them. That's about as much as I know and a 'C' is new to me, although I don't know if it's worth going into that.

A 32 is only made in 32 unless it's a 33/34 pick up which isn't the same as a Model 40 a sthey didn't make a pick up version.Of course that's only the American market as Brits '32s' B, rather than model 18 were also made for 33/34 but only look like an American B ( roughly) in silhouette but not in detail. Depends how deeply you want to be confused

And don't even go near the differences in 33 and 34!

Depends if you`re looking at British or American Nigel, easiest way by sight is American Graffiti coupe is a B,ZZ Top Eliminator isn`t although that confuses things even more as that was a `33!
