Shame this thread is so short, as it was one of these (velox PA/SY) that I fell in love with, as a child.

    below is a PA/SX

A quick history lesson, the PA came as a Cresta or the lower trim spec Velox, and came in three stages.
first introduced in Oct 57 the PA/S
then in Aug 59 the PA/SY which ran for only one year (and I think is the best looking)
finally in Aug 60 as the PA/SX until 62.

I will return with photos of the differences between the 3

    Oct 57 - Aug 59 PA / S
    from the front
it had a straight front bonnet to grill, and I believe was the only version to have the raised flutes on the centre bit of the bumper.

    from the rear
a 3-piece rear window, with the beautiful large oval red lights, with the indicators built into the tail fins.

the roof also had seams running from front to back

the next model was a big influence in my life, my Dad had an old black Velox (Wyvern shape) and one day rolled up in a beautiful almost metallic royal blue PA/SY this thing looked fantastic, modern, and roomy, im one of six kids, anyway back to the details

    Aug 59- Aug 60 PA / SY
    front
Has the raised bonnet and larger grill, still keeping the two individual front side light / indicators, and a smooth all over roof

    back
now has a 1 piece wrap around rear window, still with the large red lights, and indicators built into the tail fins.

    inside
had twin round clocks, as did the older S model

love the way the rear door handles flow into the wings

    the 3rd and last

    Aug 60 - 62 PA / SX

    front
same bonnet and grill line, and at some point the front side light/indicator were changed for a combined unit, but I have seen a few SX models still wearing the old individual round lights, this change may of taken place a bit later when the new larger engines were introduced.

    inside
dashboard replaced by a rectangular cluster with "magic ribbon" speedometer, the strip indicating speed changed from green to amber at 30 mph, and from amber to red at 60 mph.

    rear
this is one of those changes that, just makes you say WHY!
The rear oval lights were ripped out, along with the tail fin indicators and replaced by a pig ugly unit, and the top tip plugged off with a bit of chrome and a big V slapped on the side of the fin

I remember this one being featured in CC back in the 70s

also have a vague recollection of seeing a radical one at the seaside around the same time.
gasser style, silver or two tone, flip front and V8 maybe?.
seem to recall the driver putting a squirt of gas [or maybe "easy start" LOL] in the scoop to fire it up but the memory is very hazy.
