    new project

    for a while now I `ve wanted to build my own tube chassis race car model. this is my first attempt at this .I`m using 2mm plastic rod for the main cage and chassis . i started this morning and have some of the cage and front chassis made ,still have a long way to go.here`s how the chassis looks at the moment

    waiting for a doner kit to turn up so mocked the style of body that will be used over the cage

    been working on the body I`m using (the one in the photo is for mock up ,it`s broken on the other side)made new rear arches . they have been stretched widened and raised . they have also been moved back. i`ve shaped filled and primered the rear arch and mocked a wheel in place .now i can carry on with the rear chassis.here`s how the body look`s at the moment

    yesterday the doner model kit turned up so I assembled and painted the rear axle set up. today I spent 3 hours adding more plastic rod to the chassis/cage and mocked the rear axle onto the chassis. also added a splitter to the flip front filled the grill and head light holes here`s how the Anglia looks mocked up

    done a bit more on the back part of the chassis/cage I might add a few more bars to the back part of the chassis here`s how it look`s at the moment

    added a few more bars to the rear chassis/cage also added the front suspension tubing and mounts .the rear axle ,four bar, suspension and wheelie bars have also been fitted .the chassis has also been sprayed . here`s how it looks mocked up

    been doing little bits and pieces on the chassis (just every now and then when I was feeling creative) still got a lot to do but here`s how the chassis is shaping up
