If you see my baby walking
I'm not walking by her side
Ain't no need to look too far
Because I won't be hard to find ...
I'm walkin' twenty yards behind her
Cause I love the way she shakes behind

    Everybody stops to see her
When my baby's out takin' a stroll
I see a traffic cop that flags
When a steam roller ran out of control
But when my baby walked by
He jumped up and shouted 'Bless my soul'
    Bless my soul !

It's all much confusion in the town
    When she's passing through
All the cars are going backwards
And the traffic lights change to blue
I'm walking twenty yards behind her
Cause I'm frightened of the damage she'll do ...

Wherever we travel we're never apart
    Sara, Sara
Beautiful lady, so dear to my heart
How did I meet you? I don't know
A messenger sent me in a tropical storm
You were there in the winter, moonlight on the snow
And on Lily Pond Lane when the weather was warm

    Sara, Sara
Scorpio Sphinx in a calico dress
    Sara, Sara
You must forgive me my unworthiness

Now the beach is deserted except for some kelp
And a piece of an old ship that lies on the shore
You always responded when I needed your help
You gimme a map and a key to your door

    Sara, Sara
Glamorous nymph with an arrow and bow
    Sara, Sara
Don't ever leave me, don't ever go

    BUT, she did.

Y'know, I'd never listened to the Allman Brothers before I decided to play this yesterday. I think I ought to listen to a bit more.

Oh definitely - Allman Bros good...
Recommend the 'Brothers and Sisters' album highly - wore my first copy out years ago...

Just became aware of this this evening... a German band doing a song titled KELi, named after the radio station in Tulsa. They mispronounce state and river names...but how cool is that?
