    Project 'No Go ShowBoat'

Some of you may or may not have seen the few pictures I posted 'on the other side' of the build so far. Anyway, here it is again. I'm 15 and this is my first car/project. It's running all original running gear (for now anyway) so hopefully when i can drive the insurance companies might not rob me blind, as much anyway! Well, here's some pictures of the build so far, nothing drastic really...yet.

    Hi Jake,

Looking good, those back wheels look tight.

You should put what parts you are after in the wanted section, you never know what people have lying around and there are some real bargains to be had!

    Hi Jungle Jim,

Cheers and yep, they scrubbed. Took the slitting disk to the inner lip of the arch and welded it back up and its fine now.

Looks too high on the second pic but its just how it sits on the sloped drive.

Thought about that, just need to earn some cash before i can start making a list of parts to buy again

Had three 105E's, If your keeping it stock (running gear) try to go minimalist ie nice clean engine bay ( wirring out of sight) and kool paint job.

It's been a while since I posted an update so here's one. Been plodding along with it and made a start on the body work since sandings cheep and I'm a bit skint after spending pretty much the last of my money on a side pipe! Today since i couldn't be arsed to keep sanding the paint and filler i had a go at frenching some aerials and I'm over the moon as I'm a novice at welding but it seems I'm only as bad as my dad and he's done it for a fair few years!

Nice one Jake, good to see more of you youngsters getting their hands dirty, gotta love the 105's real old school cool (they were still building them when I was a teenager err I mean kid ).

There'll be times you'll wish you never started but hang in there you young un's pick stuff up quickly & you'll get a real sense of achievement.

In a couple of years your dad'll be stood back telling his mates proudly "I taught him to do that", knowing that he didn't really & you're a lot better at than him, I know because I am that dad.

Enjoying watching your work. I had a van in my younger days and would happily have another if only I could fit in !
