    1959 chevy suburban school bus

Hello all you know I like a challenge well check this out I just purchased it from a couple of guys over here. Its a 1959 Chevy Suburban special order school bus that Delta high school purchased new in 1959 who had it until 1979 then a guy bought it & had it on the road until 1986. It was then found in 2013 by a couple of guys in the guys back yard nee deep in sand. They did the basics to get it on the road. It was then bought by a couple of guys from over here with a group of motors where I purchased it. I plan to restore it to a bus but convert it for my daughter & her wheel chair atb Andy.
PS A big thank you for DAN & TICH from Dodge City trucks for picking it up for me

Hello all well as you will see I have been busy now & then I have cut the rot out of the drivers side rear lower quarter & made up various panels to rectify & added basic filler to tidy it up . Have also cut out the rotten parts of the wheel arch & let in new metal. As for the nasty damage on the side that had previously been tried to be pulled out I had to cut the worst out so I could get behind it to knock the worst out of the rest of the damage & then I but welded a new square panel in courtesy of some old racking I removed from my gas van I bought 5 years ago (I new it would come in handy). I have started filling it but started stripping the front out to remover the engine & box as it started raining the other day & got engrossed in other things. I am waiting for some repair panels etc. so I can continue with the welding so while I am waiting I have started cleaning & painting the engine & box up. The clutch has just started to touch the rivets so I have orders a new clutch etc. as well as a new sump set & rear main oil seals to rectify the oil leaks from the back of the engine.
    All the best Andy.
