There used to be a pair of those in Largs (a father and son by the name of Harrison, think they were to do with the RNLI ) one with the factory Screen and Panniers , very impressive machines but never to tell them that

Had this roll in last week for a Trans rebuild. Genuine 400SBC and blown to boot. Built about 10 years ago and featured in a Mag, its been done properly. Nice car, but the previous owner had not maintained it. Flex plate torn to shreds, (SFI one as well) so had to order one from JW Racing in the USA, who confirmed it's a 400.

I will have to road test it, as past experiences with Hot Rods have not been to the other guys liking. Oh well, you have to do what you have to do.

I think its a really neat car. I will post some more pics later.

Lovely! It was in Custom Car if it's the one I'm thinking of. There's a similar one appeared on the scene recently - all red Mk. II Zephyr which looks like it's on air-ride. Anyway, my own contribution to this thread comes from a stroll round SE London this morning.

If that's the one I think it is, it was originally built by Steve Powell, a guy I knew from the days of The Mid England Roadsters (he built a gasser style 100E Prefect before that (in the mid eighties no less). He moved from Birmingham to Nottingham later and I last saw him and the Mk 2 at the Hot Rod Drags, probably twenty odd years ago.
I'm pretty sure it's the same car, his certainly had a blown small block and was a real sleeper.

You are correct. The owner brought a copy of the mag with him so we could get an idea of the spec.
