There have been comments elsewhere, but please check that those spark plugs are genuine, apparently a lot of NGK junk copies on the Bay. Would be a shame to damage that work of art for the sake of a few pence.

This kind of stuff really worries me. You never know if the motor factors out there, including the big names, are getting their parts from the same company's that the EBay'ers are.

How do you know what you are buying these days? More and more stuff seems to fail after a very short time.....

Thanks for the warning. I may err on the side of caution and get the Autolites from the States.

This arrived instead of the balancer puller! Anyone know what its for? Has now been returned for the correct item!

This finally arrived today. Hope to get the balancer off now, hone the inside a fraction and re fit.

Phil, that first kit is for winding back brake caliper pistons, very useful on cars built after about 2002 as a lot of rear disc braked cars that also use the caliper for the hand brake need the pistons winding back in not pushing.

Whilst waiting for bits mocked up the roof consul from cardboard. Need to mess around with it a bit to fit, theres a lot to get in.

Finally managed to get the damper off. The ATI tech says if clearance is a problem get your local machine shop to hone out the hub.
Tried asking a couple and they both said "has it got a keyway?" Can't use honing stones as they will catch in the keyway.
I've managed to find a bit of 1/4" x 1/4" brass to fill the keyway so I can hone it myself.

    Pushrods arrived 7/16" big boys.

Have now got to ease out the pushrod guide plates to take the bigger rods.

    New pushrods in the guides.

Harland Sharpe 1.73 ratio roller rockers in place. Only bought them 'cause they was orange

All lined up with extended polylocks on.

    Rocker stud girdle in place.

Now we are nearing "Engine Porn"
