For all those into VWs, I'd very much advise getting yourselves along to the VolksWorld Show at Sandown Park this weekend for one of the world's premier events for original and customised air-cooled Volkswagens. Hundreds of Beetles, Type 2s, Type 2s, Karmann Ghias and rarer models will be displayed by private individuals and clubs alongside some of the best international examples for the curated indoor display.

Notable attractions this year will include historic VW rally cars, a range of Cal Lookers, a selection of very rare coachbuilt Hebmüller convertible Beetles, plus some of the vehicles to have passed through the capable hands of the Paintbox. Not to mention the appearance of 'Oklahoma Willy', the famous new VW jet bus.

Tickets are £16 for Saturday or Sunday and two under-14s can get in free with every paying adult.

Sandown Park Racecourse

Even if you're not so keen on VWs that you'd pay £16 for them, there'll be enough of them displayed outside the show (not to mention dotted around the car park) to make it worthwhile turning up if you have only a passing interest. Alternatively, there will be a cruise from Sandown to Krispy Kreme in New Malden (KT3 4NA) on the Saturday evening (NOT the Fulham Road as stated on the website) if anyone wants to view them there.
