    79 white Camaro z28

It looks like we are all going to have time on our hands, (Cov 19) which will give me plenty of time to fit my full carpet, but before that lets start from the beginning.
In a nutshell I am happy with my first American car, there were a few things I spotted whilst viewing it that I knew were going to have to be put right, and the interior was a thousand different shades of brown, which at the time I thought "oh well at least its not red" but now I think its just as bad.

The very first thing I did was to remove the stripes that ran down onto the rear bumper.

    before above, and after below.

Now the sharp eyed ones of you, will now be saying what the hell is going on with those rear lights, the truth is "I have know idea"

so they became job number two, a friend who had followed me, had commented on how dim the lights were, which soon became apparent once I pulled them apart, below is what was the reflective surface.

but were quickly turned into this

and put back onto the car with new lenses.

Still not quite happy with the way the stripes seem to run, when you approach from different angles, it was time for the spoiler bits to be removed, I now think this looks a lot cleaner.

stay tuned loads more to come !

time to turn my attention to the interior, a good vacuum and a rub around with a damp cloth, this is when I came to the conclusion that the previous owner must have been a carpenter, as everything is held together by wood screws.

even if some had fancy washer around them, he still managed to over tighten them and crack the plastic.

whilst trying to clean the auto shifter it became apparent the dirt and grime had found its way below the glass, so the unit was removed.

Excellent, just keep going one thing at a time and before you know it will be just as you want it.
