So here are some final pics of the altered and a couple of experiments with the chassis as a base. Note the rear slix are different to the ones in the above pics..... Da; Da; Daaaaah. more will be revealed later.

The 'Pop altered was never developed as I didn't really like it, but it could be made by cutting the crap out of my standard Pop body.

The final 2 pics (Topolino) were going to be the next body I wanted to produce. I even stated on the buck, but life ete etc.

Thats just a drawing on a bit of thick car and rested against the altered chassis.

Anyone notice the working parachutes?. I sacrificed a little bit of weight with a servo just to pull the chutes. It was worth it.

well cool like them all .I made a pop altered in 1/25 th scale as an idea for a racer that had methanol firebird funny car and an outlaw Anglia out of both model kits .this was what I came up with.i think on my one there`s too much in front of the wheels

Thought maybe this is a good time to continue with this thread.
Going to move onto the Pop.

I did make a balsa body for the Pop but have no pictures that I can find of it. I then took a latex mould over that and backed it up with plaster of paris.
From that I did the first body by using GRF by building it up inside the latex.

It was very heavy but worked for what I wanted to do which was build a RC Pop dragster.

There is a story behind the rear slix on this first version of my RC Pop, oh and incidentally the second picture with the front wheels 'ridin hi' was taken at Santa Pod (I think on the real start line.)

All the stickers and artwork on the car was printed out on a bubble jet printer and glued on to the body with copydex.

A cheap way back then of getting the 'look' at a small cost. The sophisticated vinyl's and transfer stock was not readily available in those days.

And yes, it would pull a wheelie
